An Evening with Greenpeace: Preserving Wildlife around the World and Locally

By Diana Scotcher on behalf of SLH

This article was originally written for the February edition of Heatons Post, https://www.heatonspost.co.uk/

Sustainable Living in the Heatons usually has an AGM at The Nursery Inn with time for a trip to the bar half way through. As with many events this year, we’ve had to change our plans!

Join us Tuesday 23 February 2021 7.30–9pm for this zoom event.

Find out what SLH has been doing during this very unusual year and what are our plans are for 2021.

We are delighted that inspirational Greenpeace speaker Matt Connor will talk about the work of Greenpeace and its campaigns, particularly around preserving ecosystems internationally, here in the UK, as well as closer to home.

We’ve all heard about Greenpeace, about its work to defend the natural world and to make a stand for a green and peaceful future. Here is your chance to find out more, and to ask Matt about the challenges we currently face, and how Greenpeace is helping to protect our natural world for future generations.

This is the second of a series of monthly live SLH zoom events. In April there will be the third in this series: A panel discussion around the preparations taking place for COP 26 and the role that communities in Greater Manchester can take in influencing positive change.
